I have also run F-Bagle and that didn't find anything either.  Any other suggestions?

Avast adds a certificate to their executables. Right click on the setup.exe file -> properties and look for the digital certificate signature. Is it there?

Being a new computer, do you have any pre-installed security tool? Did you uninstall it? Did you remove the remnants with the respective removal utility?

I would suggest download anew.
