after autoupdate to avast 7 internet stopped working properly

Yesterday I updated to avast 7...today my internet connection wasn't working, so as a last resource I deactivated avast. Now I can visit sites, but only those beginning with  http://www. and can't see encripted pages.. can anybody help me?

It sounds like you may have a firewall issue. If you have a firewall, need to check your firewall settings to see if AvastUI.exe, AvastSvc.exe and Avast.setup have rights/persmission.

I don't have any firewall installed. I have just Windows Firewall, which is disabled, but now I found listed Avast Antivirus  as firewall as well. But I didn't change the settings.

Strange... Are you using the trial version of AIS (avast Internet Security)?

No..the only avast product I'm using is avast free version 7.0.1407

It seems like if you were using the AIS TRIAL edition, not the FREE edition.
