Blue screen after install on new laptop
« on: February 26, 2012, 06:48:51 PM »
Installed a total of four things on brand new laptop (Firefox, Firefox plug-in, Flash and Avast IS 7.0.1407) and got BLUE SCREEN on shutdown (BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO).  I generated a data pkg but too large to upload and don't know how to FTP to Avast.  Was getting constant BSOD on old laptop, thus the new one.  Now wondering if Avast is the culprit on both?

Uninstalled Avast, applied a few Windows 7 security updates and disabled browser plug in.  Have reinstalled Avast Internet Security with crossed fingers.  A couple of reboots and things are looking ok for now.

There's an anonymous FTP at ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming
Can you upload maybe just the corresponding minidump first (from C:\Windows\Minidump folder)?
Thanks.
