I have been using Outpost firewall Pro for more years than I have avast (almost 8 years), from when I first started with Outpost version 1.0 free, until purchasing Outpost Firewall Pro 3.0 up to the version 7.5.1 and believe me Outpost has had their share of problems over the years.
So much so that I don't install program updates for some time after release, I still haven't installed 7.5.2, but I'm still using it as it is a fine firewall. There are times when sh1t happens in security based applications, but that has to be balanced out or we wouldn't be with any single product for long at all.
