Looks like you are going to have to do a clean reinstall, probably best and more likely quicker in the long run:
Use one of the routines mentioned on page 1 of the topic, contrary you don't have to reboot twice.

OR
  • 1. Uninstall avast! (using add remove programs, if you can't do that start from the next step), reboot.
  • 2. run the avast! Uninstall Utility from safe mode, first for 6.x if previously installed and then for 7.0, once complete reboot into normal mode.
  • 3. install the latest version, reboot.

As craigb said stick with the viruses and worms topic until that is resolved and that includes attaching log files as everything relating to the probable infection needs to be kept together, otherwise it just makes life difficult for those trying to help you.

Today Morning I Download new Avast! VPS and fortunately I can update Avast successfully.  :)
