I'm using Avast 7 Internet Security, paid version, on Windows Vista and I still have this issue. I was on the phone with tech support (from India!!!!! Could barely understand her) for almost 2 hours. I gave access to tech person to my pc, she went all over my stuff, couldn't fix it, but said things like "oh, you have lots of junk in your pc, this is the problem..." At the end she transfer me to another tech that would clean and fix my pc for A PRICE!!!! Nice scam! I have 2 desk tops (both Win 7) and two laptops (Vista and XP), all with a lot of "junk" but this is the only pc with this Avast problem. I should have stayed with AVG or Micro PC-Cillin:O(

I've reported your post to a Moderator to have them look into your iYogi problem.
For your avast problem, have you tried the following:

Thanks Bob3160, I'll try your with your link if uninstalling/clean-reinstalling doesn't work. I bought this program so that I can focus on other things and not have to be worried about my pc protection. Turns out the cure is worst than the illness, I have spent all day yesterday and it's now 2:00 P.M. on this trying to fix it. What a turn off to Avast products  :(

To: AntiVirusASeT (reply #29)

Thanks for pointing that out, as I had missed it. I'll check it out.
And thanks to Avast for recognizing there was a problem and providing a fix, however belatedly and assuming it works.
