Lost Shell Scan
« on: March 04, 2012, 09:52:50 PM »
Hi,

Somehow I've lost the right-click quick scan option in an XPSP3 installation when I upgraded recently to  version 7.0.1407

I love this feature to quickly scan individual files or folders on the desktop for example.

Thank you.

It is there... something is wrong with your XP installation.
Did you use any context menu tweaker/tool?

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).

Thanks.  Will give repair a try and see what happens.  No, have not installed any tweeker tools.  But, my wife tried to installed an old 16 bit program and then deleted it when it wouldn't run properly.

I'm wondering if Avast conflicted with its installer.

Or just the opposite.
