Hello you all.

When I try to play online game called Point Blank, Avast 7.0.1407 almost freezes my computer. The SF.bin file reaches up to 70% of CPU, the system load reaches 1 gigabyte, and even the mouse gets slow almost stoping.

My system is CPU E5700, 4 Gb RAM, Windows XP SP3 updated, PCTools firewall, and Avast 7.0.1407 free.

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: looking at the search, this looks like an recurring problem.

Edit: when I deactivate Avast shields I get to play normally.

I'm having the same problem (randomly). When it freezes, Task Manager showing huge 200MB++ sf.bin.
XP SP3, P4 3.0GHz HT, 1G RAM.

I have used a workaround: put that folder in exclusions of the file shield, but the desirable is Avast being able to scan the game files without driving the system to its knees.

P.S.: both 6 and 7 versions 'suffer" on it.
