Hi,

I am using the Avast free version in windows 2000 machine, and not everytime(but happened a lot) when I save my work in Excel, the system will reboot... When I uninstall the Avast free anitvirus program, the symptom disappeared. I re-installed the Avast, then the symptom appears again....

Don't know what to do...

Update:
After i disabled the "behavior..." something, the PC seems ok with EXCEL right now.....

Update 03/12/12
problem still there, will boot if I save data in Excel.

Do you have any minidumps in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder (that might correspond to the reboots)?

I  check that, so if I found 2 files, and I have attached to this post, please help.

Isn't it true that Avast 7 is not supported in Windows 2000?  Does that mean it won't work at all, or could have issues like the OP described?

I was using ver. 6 but after I installed into PC; the anti-virus updated into 7. Anyway, Ver 6 and Ver 7 have the same Excel problem.
