avast! 7 and persistent cache

Does anybody see a real difference with persistent scan enabled? I ran a full scan with persistent cache checked then did another with it unchecked but speed up scanning by using persistent cache checked and did not really notice a speed difference it the scan.

check it and scan......take the time.........then scan again and take the time again.....any difference ?

Thanks, I will give it another try. But the hardware I tried it on is definitely not higher end so that may be the reason.
