Only use Anti-Theft, disable Mobile Security
« on: March 14, 2012, 07:37:21 AM »
Hello all,

is there any way to disable Mobile Security completely and only use Anti-Theft?
Or can I just uninstall MS after installing AT? Any dependencies?

Thanks in advance!

But why would you miss AMS protection and keep only AT? Any particular reason?

Even this Topic was already discussed, just to answer the question to "Tech"  ;)

I can't speak for the Thread Creator, but for myself.

  • I have a working Brain 1.0 which should be good enough
  • Even the stupidest thief would recognize in a instant the installed avast and would know it's packed with a theft aware protection

In Detail:
The most important reason for me is simple the stealth aspect.
If I have to keep avast installed, the whole stealth mode would be a bad joke.

And about the other Features:
Yes they are nice and sure they can be helpful.
But in my case I need more only a Fire/Rightwall (which only works on rooted):
Maybe I like to use App [X] but I don't like that it read my sms or always start the GPS. But this is another topic and let's see if Google will work on that.
