Hello and welcome to the Forum :)

At first a few questions:
Which OS? (32/64 Bit - which SP)
Which avast-version? (Free, Pro, Internet Security)
Any other security related software installed?

Win10 x64, APS (always latest version)
Avast Mobile Security (always latest version)

Os is Vista version 6 (build 6002 service pack 2)

32bit

Trying to install avast free and the only other security I have installed is Malwarebytes.

Do you have the free version of Malwarebytes?
Have you tried to uninstall avast in safe mode or normal mode?

Please go ahead and try to download the installation files through some other browsers ,other than internet explorer.... I recommend Google Chrome... Or the latest Mozilla Firefox

Error 0 spawning and not a valid win32 app! could be related to corrupted files because a bad download or an infection.

Download Avast! Uninstall Utility again from here:

Download your Avast! from here:
