Bug in Avast or Virus in My Computer?
« on: January 26, 2017, 07:22:21 PM »
A while ago I did a smart scan, and it informed me that the scan for viruses failed and that my PC needed optimization as far as performance issues went.
So I clicked "Resolve All" and it only brought up info about performance issues... junk files, system settings, unnecessary apps. I clicked "Skip" and here's where the weird part comes in... suddenly the scan for viruses is okay and I'm told that I have no viruses. Doing a quick scan for viruses tells me that some files could not be scanned, and that they are all password protected. I asked some people I knew about the problem and they told me to scan with another app. I used Windows Defender and the results turned out okay. What do you think could be the problem? I'm using Windows 10, by the way.
