How to remove Java 2 runtime

Hello,
When I run a Boot Scan Avast always finds Java 2 run error something something. How do I have this removed if needed.
Not computer savy.

jave error something is not enough info  ???

if this is a scan error then it is just avast giving you the info...a error and the reason why.
file(s) that have a scan error is just that...does not mean they are infected.
Infected file(s) are detected with a malware name

may we see a screenshot of the scan result?
and why do you run a boot scan?

Look in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avast Software\Avast\report\aswBoot.txt file (XP location) C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\report\aswBoot.txt (Vista, Win7 location), check this file using notepad for info on the scan/detections, etc.

This location may be hidden depending on your OS.
