Internet connection timeout elapsed
« on: December 10, 2004, 02:12:50 PM »
I have installed the update for Avast 4.5 and since that installation i'm having problems.

I always get a message stating:

Internet connection timeout elapsed. Continue waiting?
(lsvchost.exe -> ip.address:25)

It looks like Avast try to do something on port 25 but is unable because of lsvchost.exe...??

Anybody know why I am having this issue, how to solve it or at least stop warning me about that message?  My taskbar is filled up by those errors!!!

Thanks!

Seems that you are infected (see following link);
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.webus.d.html

Make a full system scan with Avast

Follow also the instructions on Eddy's page

good luck

Are you using Windows XP?
Can you schedule a boot-time scanning?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning
Select for scanning archives.
Boot.  ;)
