Slingbox

Avast is preventing me from using my Slingbox. I can only watch it by disabling the Web Shield in the Real Time Shields. I added a URL exclusion, but it didn't help. Is there a URL or exclusion I can enter so that I don't have to disable the Web Shield every time I want to watch my Slingbox?

Does the setting "Scan traffic from well-known browser processes only" affect the connection?

Open avast -> Real Time Shields -> Web Shield -> Expert Settings -> Scan traffic from well-known browser processes only

If not, perhaps an exclusion of the exectuable may help.

Same problem.
  I have tried excluding the Slingbox.exe and slingbox.com
no effect.

What does work is to close the shields control for 10 minutes, login and start slingbox  and then restart the shields control.   Slingbox will continue to function after the shields are restarted.   I changed my desktop shortcut's name to "Sling-DisableAva" as a reminder to do this.
