I've seen this also with Windows 7 and IE9 I believe this is OK.
Okay... so sometimes when I got to my MB manufacturer; I get the same thing but other times its the usual one at the bottom (Win7 & IE9). The inconsistency is what concerns me. What allows sites to force this DL window vs the usual IE9 DL bar at the bottom? Maybe explanation inot that will describe why its normal verus just saying its normal.
No offense meant at all, but at one time I beleived I could safely download from CNET; but after getting wrong file sizes, wrapped packages that set off Avast even though the one from the manufacturers/developer site wouldnt, and even a completly different file, I have concluded maybe it needed investiagtion and explanation before ever downloading via CNET again.
So; how does a site illicit this download popup window versus IE9's download notifaction bar?
