Is Avast! Linux Home Edition available for CentOS 6.2?
« on: March 29, 2012, 02:47:51 AM »
I've been using Avast! for my Windows machines for quite a while but this is the first time I've thought of using Avast for Linux.  I use CentOS 6.2 as I found it to be easier to work with than the current release of Ubuntu and I wanted to install an AV in CentOS mainly to keep it clean even though I've been told that there is no point for an AV in Linux (I want one anyway).  It would be appreciated if someone could let me know if I will be able to use Avast! Linux Home Edition in CentOS 6.2  :)

In theory, no problems. You need to use the .tar and follow the instructions inside it I suppose.
Sorry, wrong information corrected in a new post.
