Newbie question... Why can't I change my forum Profile ???

I attempted to change my Profile on this forum to enter a proper Time Offset, but it refuses, returning the following popup message:

"You have to enter your current Password to make any changes to your Profile."

But entering my Password does not help, because the same message reappears ad infinitum!

What's the trick?

The trick is entering your pw in the correct field. Pretty much on the top of the 'modify profile' page. NOT in the change pasword section.

Entering the correct password. Recently I received an email from ALWIL Software Forums with a new password.

Have you recently received a new password, have you applied it?
Did you cut and paste, was there a trailing space?
Was it in the correct case, e.g. caps lock on?
Was it in the correct place (see image)

Edit: good old failed attachment, no image of correct place.

Thanks guys. Eddy was correct. I didn't see the other field for the password near the top of the form.

DavidR - never ever press PREVIEW button when you are posting something with attachment included. Your attachment will be lost as soon as you press PREVIEW button. When you finish typing your post, and attach attachment (in this case it's a picture), immediatelly press POST button. Try it and you'll see...

Never do use Preview when posting attachments, I learnt this within the first few days, I think I mentioned this some time ago about, the file not being uploaded until Post is executed, but Preview doesn't upload the file but records the filename so it can't used again.

This time it disappeared into the bit bucket, I can only put it down to a possible time-out as the forums were slow at the time, I don't know for sure just that it disappeared.

I rarely use the Preview now anyway, as the time to preview on a dial-up connection is a waste. Even worse when the forums are slow.

Then something else must be the problem... I thought you maybe pressed PREVIEW because a lot of people try with that first...

Try again, maybe you'll have more luck this time
