Unfortunately the current malware is a pain in the butt to remove, now if you have been trained in malware removal it would not be a problem.  However, the use of the wrong tool or the removal of the wrong file could change the computer into a doorstop

Obviously we do not need that to happen here

By all means read the logs, but too many requests to the poor victim could cause confusion.  It is very trying when you have an infection

We know you mean good intentions but it is just a risk that we cannot afford.
You are quite welcome to read the logs in the viruses section and to help in the other areas ( free and general ) and it's a good forum to pick up on things, as essexboy mentioned you can always become a trained malware specialist through the proper procedures and when completed you would no doubt be allowed to help in the viruses section.
