If you don't like new Proton UI, in about:config change "browser.proton.enabled" from true to false by double clicking the setting.

@abruptum. Thanks for that tip. The new Proton UI uses too much top bar space for my liking, so that is now disabled.

@abruptum. Thanks for that tip. The new Proton UI uses too much top bar space for my liking, so that is now disabled.

I was wondering abut this, and honestly I haven't seen much difference.  The text appears to have changed, a bit smaller.

Mind you I use a custom theme and have also customised the toolbar.

@DavidR It is not so easy to see on its own, but if you toggle enable/disable you will then (probably) see the difference. i.e. you can do a before-and-after study.

FYI, all the proton prefs will be removed in Firefox 90 (13th July 2021).

What I mean, is that the difference for me wouldn't warrant turning it off (even just to see) and now as has been mentioned by alanb, it is going to be there from FF 90.

The context menus are are larger and very bland.
