if you close your SUPERAntiSpyware from taskbar and run it as Administrator it should be able to update itself to latest version easily... at least it did it for me in Win Vista SP1 and SUPERAntiSpyware Professional...

No problem here updating whilst SAS still running.

in windows vista it ask for administrator permission if you use UAC in default settings. yes, no problem if SAS be running with Administrator permission
