Not that this isn't informative but why reinvent the wheel?

Hmmm... , maybe because people find it easier here? This thread has over 1700 views. If no-one cared, no-one would write or read anything here...  ;)

It is not about trying to reinvent the wheel, but about not having to go looking elsewhere for the information and the notifications here tend to be for applications related to system security, adware/spyware, etc.

I don't have to trawl through the dross 'Collectorz.com Comic Collector 2.8.3, Aquabble Avalanche 1.3, etc. etc.' to find the same sort of notifications seen here. No offence to those who find the notifications for 'Collectorz.com Comic Collector 2.8.3 and Aquabble Avalanche 1.3' useful.

Sorry, I wasn't intending on stepping on any toes here.

It is a great thing to do don't get me wrong. I was mearly showing you a resource that you can "search" to find the latest version of just about anything. He does a great job but you can't expect Spyros to know them all.

Just trying to help, sorry.

Wayno, I don't intend to know them all. Read my first post in this thread. I asked that everybody posts what he/she thinks the rest of the board should know about. I post mainly about security programs I use. If you or anyone else uses something different, feel free to post here.
You don't have to be sorry, no offense taken  :)

Also, when you click on UPDATES within SpywareBlaster, it tells you that new program update is available and it gives you active link (clickable) which leads to download location at official web site.
