OT: Yeah I was very surprised to see a big jump 8.1.2 to 9.0.x, and this was a major update on outpost and make sure you keep 8.1.2 just in case DavidR. Mind is running very smooth and no glitch or problems so far on W8 when I did a clean installed ;)

Here a history release update list http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpost/history.php

Doesn't seem much on that update history to warrant that being a whole point update ???

The AV is what got the biggest change with an update to the url processing algorithm, the firewall only got a few bug fixes and the inclusion in the GUI/Help of the option to download the live disk

Works fine here to  :)

Not really. Usually SAS have 2 or 3 different version published so that they can be downloaded manually and tested before they are ready to offer it through the program automatic update.

This V. 5.7.1016 was offered through the program and the changes and enhancements published in the release history: http://www.superantispyware.com/producthistory.html?id=SUPERANTISPYWARE
