Also keep in mind that they intend to schedule availability of the update (as opposed to the full-install version) gradually, possibly spread over a month or so, so "everyone in the world won't see it at once" (from their news release).

Well it is a valid point if MBAM goes full AV then, if it is no longer just an anti-malware (but a full blown AV) that many of is use as companion to avast. If I recall some of your posts about the not having two AVs installed on the same system would apply.

If this is the direction MBAM is going, then I certainly wouldn't be recommending it and it would no longer be installed on my systems even though I have lifetime licenses.
