IE 7 on windows updates this tuesday morning(Nov.2)
I unchecked it since i already have it
On my automatic update settings-i have automatic updates is set to download and install updates only after checking with you-best way to have it set in case you don't want a certain update installed

True my friend, very true... except I didn't get any notification about IE7 update on my desktop PC where I already have IE7 installed. I guess it "recognized" that I already have it here. But I've got this notification on my laptop computer where I still had IE6 installed... and best of all, I got that notification on November the 1st, not today, but yesterday... of course I installed it after I've got that notification. So it looks like they released it on Wednesday (November 1st) through automatic updates...

Tony Chor, the Group Program Manager for the IE Team has posted that Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP has been released in five new languages: German, Japanese, French, Spanish, and Finnish. They are available from today on the IE website.

As with the English version, the localized downloads are available a few weeks ahead of distribution via Automatic Updates. German, French, Spanish and Finnish users should be prepared for AU distribution by mid-November. Japanese AU distribution will begin this spring.
