I don't like the fact that this HJT 2.0 beta, is now a .exe installer .exe rather than a stand alone zip file you can extract the contents and run the HJT exe.

Hi DavidR. You are possible don't right this time because it is still  avaliable as a stand alone zip file ftom the official TrendMicro website ;)

AnalyzeThis  seems to be an attempt to build a Prevx type database of applications

Quote
This table below compares your HijackThis log file entries with others analyzed by Trend Micro. The column "per 10,000 PCs" indicates, on average, how many times this entry in your log was found on other PCs. Additional information will be provided as more HijackThis log files are added to the AnalyzeThis database.

It does provide a table comparing the analysis to other PCs but on this computer there are 18 entries indicated as 0% of PCs With Item, including HijackThis' own installation file.  I don't see any value in this information.  "Common/Uncommon" is not a diagnosis.

EDIT:

It is a standalone. At least, the one I've downloaded.

The first one I downloaded (from the betanews.com, download link) was the executable and there was no way I would install it, so I went searching for the stand alone version as my original edited post "Reply #1613" shows.

It is still currently targeted by Rogue Remover but I think their assessment is incorrect.  I've used it for a long time without problems and posted the reasons for the listing in this thread
