« on: December 15, 2004, 02:43:59 PM »
lately i cannot use the right click function. it doesnt happens to all of my files. mostly in files like mpeg, but it also hapened in other files like word text etc.
i checked the mouse properties. nothing seems to be wrong. can it be a worm or a virus?
i use windows XP.
i like to mention that when avast detects a infected file i click to delete tis file. can it be harmfull for my system?can it happened to delete a registry key?

The safe selection is to put anything found into the Chest. From there it can always be deleted or restored if need be. Once it's deleted, it's history.
Remember, all AV programs on occasion will have FalsePositives and for that reason, moving the file to the chest is always safer.

George, maybe if you install Windows 'over' your installation it could correct this...
Can you schedule a boot time scanning and see if you're clean?

I suggest starting with reinstalling the mous drivers and also try another mouse.

No, of course not.
I will just update/repair your system files, drivers and so on.
All personal files, installed programs will be there exactly the same they're now (I did this more than one time  8)).

After 'repairing' your windows installation, please go to the windows update site and see if you need to update any other thing  8)
