Antispam: STATUS UNKNOWN

Hi,

I have just upgraded to Avast Pro and am trying to enable the AntiSpam feature, but the current status is "PROTECTION STATUS: UKNOWN" and I cannot start or stop the module.  I am running Win7 Ultimate x64 with Outlook 2010 connected to MS-Exchange 2010

I am tech savvy generally, but have no idea where to even start looking for this one.

have you tried to repair avast?

For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

Repair appeared to get a little confused I think because I had originally Avast Free installed, so I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled full version, rebooted again and things appear to be working so far.  I am doing an update as I am writing this so hopefully I'm all OK now
