Avast paid
« on: April 09, 2012, 04:29:36 AM »
Avast is rubbish. Big time. For some reason now I can't see the scan results. This whole Avast experience has been horrible for the most part. It makes no sense........it shows me a threat, won't let me do anything with that result, and won't show me the scan results so I know it has been moved to the chest as directed. Those results should *not* show, if the person can't do anything with it and "Apply" is greyed out.

My subscription will expire in May and I will not renew it. Answers to questions posted here are as vague as the program "scan results".

If Apply is greyed out, you are either looking al a historic scan log and not one of the active scan or the contents of that log are files that can't be scanned (not an indication they are infected) or detections in memory (not physical files, so can't be sent to the chest, etc.).

The same could be said of your question, we need more information to be able to give a detailed answer. So we are going to need more information on:
1. are you looking at a historic scan log (just a data file and not active) from the Scan Computer, Scan Logs section ?

2. the file name, location and malware name, etc. ?

3. the type of scan done and if you elected to scan memory ?
