iminent virus?

Seem to have a virus that has completerly trashed Avast pro (Windows7-64  Dell) along with Windows.

Seems to be something to do with 'iminent'

Searched Avast forums in Avast search box but no hits.

Yet Google finds at least one thread in the Avast forums with help about this same problem?

Thank you yes I intend to try this as soon as I can get control of that pc again (ie boot windows), either tomorrow (wednesday) or thursday.

Meanwhile is the any insight as to why Google can find something inside the Avast forums that the Avast search field can't?

I just downloaded Avast 7 to 2 computers, it shut both of them down to the point that one won't statr and the other won't start in Safe mode. As I amnow on my 3rd computr with Avast turned off, it appears that if there is a virus it came with Avast 7 and the Google chrome that it includes!

What antivirus did You use before installing avast ?
Did You uninstall it before installing avast ?
Did You use a removal tool to clear any leftover files that may conflict ?
