Avast compatibility
« on: April 17, 2012, 08:33:10 AM »
I am very happy that avast is compatible with a range of antivirus  products. It also gives a option to install avast as a 2nd line of defence. But i wish avast could provide a complete list of products (antivirus, firewalls, scanners)  which doesn't affect it.

Firewall is offered in AIS (avast Internet Security). What do you mean by scanners?

Avast has some "issues" with Faronics "Deep Freeze"
You have to install deep freeze first and then install avast.  If you install Deep Freeze after avast, Deep Freeze will install, lock your computer into the protected mode, and then avast will kill off the controller and icon.  The net result could be the need to do a fresh install of your computer if your not careful.  :o or a very time consuming work around.. that only works if you did not register Deep Freeze.

I will call incompatibility... And it seems to be on the Deep Freeze side blocking the correct working of avast! (or other antivirus).
