avast! Permission Usage
« on: April 20, 2012, 07:27:35 PM »
Hi all,

for those that have concerns about permission usage of avast! Mobile Security and avast! Anti-Theft, we've now prepared a knowledge base article describing what we use the permissions for. I hope this helps all customers. If you have any questions feel free to post them here.

http://support.avast.com/index.php?languageid=1&group=eng&_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=1252

best regards
Reinhard

I am trying to figure out how to post a question.  My Avast is going to expire, I try to renew and apparently am doing something wrong as it brings me back to the same page, over and over again which is the page telling me I need to renew.  Yes, I am technology challenged.  Thank you

During the install of Anti Theft v3.x new permissions are requested to Google Play billing service.  The descriptions is 'Allows the user to purchase items through Google Play from within this app'.  Why is this necessary?

AVAST not, but AntiTheft. Give me my updates for AntiTheft and only for AntiTheft.
