No Internet access on startup

The kind people in the Free/Pro/Suite forum suggested I post here..

I am a new Avast user, installed Avast free in a Windows 7 (64 bit) Virtual Machine running on Parallels 5, Mac OS 10.6.8.

Whenever I start up the Win 7 Virtual Machine, there is no internet access in Win 7.  Internet access on the Mac side is fine, and also in my Linux VM's.  If I turn off the Avast, restart Win 7, then turn Avast back on, it works fine.

Any ideas??

Can you disable the web shield and try this again? Do you have any firewall software like little snitch installed?
