Avast free. days countdown

If avast free is completely free for home use, then what is the use of subscription days countdown from 365, even if we can again register for 365 days. tech dummies uninstall avast free once their free license expires, instead of renewing it.

By having to subscribe this gives avast an idea of the user base, everyone i know simply re-registers once the time is up.
