Boot Scan
« on: April 24, 2012, 09:00:41 PM »
I did a boot scan, it comes up with a threat -> ocres.dll win32:funweb-K [PUP]
Then it lists the table of options - Delete, Repair etc. ... but then the whole
thing hangs and I have no way of using the keyboard to select one of those
options.
I press the only key that works, Esc , and it says Aborted then it continues booting.
I search all over my disk, even using regedit, and cannot find that file.
Help please ????

PUP = Possible Unwanted Program........so does not have to be a threat. Depends what it is and who installed it
avast is telling you that you have a program that can be used for good or bad if abused...

and funweb seems to be a toolbar

you may also run a quick scan with malwarebytes
