Same here.  Today yes.  Yesterday, not so much.

Side topic.
Streaming updates down ATM - still an intermittent thing.

Call me odd but I "feel" less protected when streaming updates aren't active.

its okay. i believe that streaming updates only occurs at the instant when there is a fresh update from avast server (i.e. it pushes the update to the client - avast antivirus on ur pc rather than traditional virus updating whereby the client queries the avast server at fixed intervals to see if there is any new virus database)

also both streaming updates and reputation services are related to the cloud. thus it will also connect when an unknown file is downloaded to ur computer to check the details of the file with the servers.

p.s. could someone more experienced confirm this? this is what i remembered reading from the forums.

AntiVirusASeT,
Of course you know by posting that you are uncontrollably tempting me to download some strange and bizarre files to test :-D :-D
My poor download  folder!

channel that energy gained from temptation to learn a programming language, upload the executable u created to a file sharing website then download it urself to test it out.

tell me if u succeed  :P

I call out GOOOS VERY REALISTIC CONCERN (not including added streaming issues)! as the exact concern which is my Op's concern (first post)!
I have noticed, I think some better improvement but only intermittent steady reliability.

Thanks much first to Gooob (with others too)!

My true appreciation, Diligent

I echoed Gooog's belief that the Asyn post was true and accurate. At this point it does seem like the Asyn post was a false empty promise, so where the heck is the fix after the recent update of avast!!?? I want to be wrong, really do!!!!

for web rep, it is definitely a sever side problem (at avast). all browser add-ons (google chrome, firefox, IE) are offline.
if u look through the last few days in this forum, there are a number of posts on this.

when 7.0.1451 was 1st released, i remembered it was working find on all browsers including chrome.

hope they fix it soon, while not a critical part of protection, it would be better if web rep is more reliable.
