« on: May 07, 2012, 10:05:22 PM »
I have Avast Pro 7.0 1426

iTunes Shop is being blocked.  Apple Support says I should uninstall Antivirus program.  If I do that can I re-install my Avast Pro?

Welcome to the forum.
What error message are you getting ??? What other security software are you running???
avast! scans it doesn't block unless it's infected.
What firewall are you using ???
The more information you give us the easier it is to solve your problem.
Uninstalling avast! is probably the last thing you should be doing.

Unfortunately I did uninstal my AvastPro.  It made no difference to the problem with Apple and ITunes.  So now I need to reinstall my AvastPro.  When I enter my licence key I'm told it isn't valid.  I bought an extension to my AvastPro subscription on 02/08/12 for $29.99 and I don't recall there was any new key for that extension.  I have the payment in my Discover Card statement file.  I'm really anxious that my computer isn't protected and would be most grateful for any help to get my AvastPro back.  It has been the best program of any I've ever had.  I only have the Firewall that Microsoft Windows 7 has.  I don't have any other virus protection.
