Avast Free works OK on desktop but not on laptop.
« on: May 26, 2012, 04:50:11 AM »
I used Avast Free on my desktop since March.  I got a laptop, and installed Avast Free OK, but when I put in same password, it says my passsword is incorrect. I hoped to use the same password as it would be easier to remember. Am I only allowed to use Avast on one computer? I am a home user.

What password are you talking about?
Windows 10 Home 64-bit • Avast Free (latest stable version) •  Malwarebytes 4 Premium (On-Demand) • Windows Firewall Control • Google Chrome • LastPass • CCleaner • O&O ShutUp10 •

When you installed your Avast! free in the laptop you have to register the new installation. You can not use register key from the Avast! you installed in your desktop.

When I was on the laptop, I installed Avast free and it said "are you already a member on Avast" and I said Yes, then it asked put in your password, when I did that, it said the password was incorrect.
