"Your system is not fully protected" Yellow Triangle

I don't want to use the Mail Shield as it conflicts with the settings on my mail program, and don't really want to use the IM and P2P shields either, but... if I permanently turn off any of these shields then I get that ever-so-annoying little yellow triangle on the taskbar icon telling me, when I hover over it,  "Your system is not fully protected".

Is there any way to get rid of this? Please don't say "No, because then Uncle Avast won't be fully protecting you and keeping you nice and safe and warm at night, etc". Even Windows security centre in XP gives you the option to turn off the equivalent nag icon when you stop using automatic system updates, Windows firewall or whatever.

Surely there is some way to use Avast with selected shields without this "your system is not fully protected" annoyance. If not, I think may have to go back to my old anti-virus .

Open Avast! > Settings > Status Bar.

Would not recommend it though.

You can also deinstall the unwanted shields:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> avast!
2. Click on 'Change'.
3. Select unwanted shields or program features.
4. Reboot.

Personally I would be looking to resolve the interaction/conflict/problem (?) with your email program (?) and the mail shield.

So if you would care to expand on the problem we may be able to resolve it.

The reason I suggest this is that the Mail Shield doesn't just monitor 'your' email traffic, but any email traffic on your system. This may be the first indication of a hidden/undetected emailbot on your system.

I agree with DavidR here also. I can understand disabling certain features, but the Mail Shield is one that
really should be utilized for the reasons stated. What mail client do you use? Are there other software's
that maybe are causing the conflict with mail shield? What other security are you using that directly affects
your current email client? Just a few thoughts to maybe help track down the current issue you are having.
