aswtdi.sys BSOD weeks after deïnstalling Avast
« on: December 27, 2004, 11:31:33 PM »
After deinstalling Avast (on the proper way, some weeks ago) I suddently became a BSOD with aswtdi.sys.
(I connected a pocket PC via USB).

This is the first BSOD since I deïnstalled Avast

How is this possible?  ???
Is avast still monitoring something on the background?
(deïnstall revence?  :D)

I can remove the file but it is not present in the register neither in any ini-file.
What do I have to remove?

Wim

Use the uninstall util from the website and see if it helps.

Can you send me the minidump corresponding to the crash?
\windows\minidump folder.

Have you been experiencing any aswTdi crashes before? What version of avast did you have?

We're pretty confident that version 4.5.549 (the latest one) causes no crashes in any of its drivers (we can back up this claim by having the Windows Error Reporting data from Microsoft).

Thanks
