Avast Service Not Running

I have reinstalled Avast 7.0 on my PC after it crashed some time ago. I ran the recovery discs for my Compaq Presario and found many other software programs no longer working right. It installed all right but shows up cannot connect to an online account. But I have an online account already.

What OS, Spk, Bit 32 o 64 ?

What and why other programs do not run right ? Software or hardware problems ?

What account are you talking about ? My Avast! account or the account you opened when you bought Avast! ?
