is there a way

to run avast and not have to sit here and move the viruses to chest. Like can i just run it and not have to sit here.  I want to be able to run it come back 5 hours later and see what is on it.  If there is a way can some one tell me thanks

Set Avast to run in Silent Mode as explained in many other threads already and in the help file.

Welcome to the Forums lakers27,

If you are using Windows,

Right click the avast! blue ball in bottom right hand side of the taskbar. Select On Access Protection Control. On the left hand side of the Window select Standard Shield and click on Customize. On the top of the new window select Advance. Now check Silent mode and check with a general answer No (Cancel). Click OK on the bottom of the two Windows and your done!
