RE avast on notebook

Hi all, just curious weather avast 7 is fine to run on an asus  notebook running windows 7 with 1 g of ram currently running security essentials. just wondering if avast would rob the ram.?????

no way! remove security essentials and then install avast...for me avast just uses 5MB of my RAM on idle and 10MB when surfing
