IM SO TOTALLY INFECTED AND REALLY GOT NO OTHER CHOICE OTHER THAN REFORMATING AGAIN!!!
Why do you think so..??
Just post your logs in the V&W section..!!

Well... besides for even different than yesterday chnage to my album art
, I was going thru some files and deleting things I didnt want/need and yet some gave me some error about them being at 'refers to a remote location'
without identifying much more than that (this was with my ethernet physically disconnected). Lets see, oh yeah, my flash 'sahring' options had been changed
... etc. I mean seriosuly, I dont get when Im not accusiong anyone here of exploiting me; why the defensive attitude about basic logic now
.
So heres a geart question for your thought of postings logs... if Im not running under my control anymore then whats to say I could get functional/correct logs to Avast? Ill be more than happy to but again, if Im (my machines) this f't up, you dont think they thought that far ahead? Oh, is it because they are protected/locked
? Well, my system was supposed to be protected and its obvious that aint so. Im sorry you want to argue with this but I dont have time for irroneous comments and questions when the facts spell out the truth.
The big problem right now seems to be others are trying to claim 'Avast cant do that", "has nothing to do with that", "doesn't affect those types of files", and on and on and on. But heres the point, some of this crap is BLATANT corrupted/exploited behaivor. Since its repatable on of my other machines; Avast either needs to grow a pair and blame (with legal actions) windows... or we need to stop beating around the bush.
My machines have been continualy exploited. Since I use Avast to stop ANYTHING of this behavior, Im not going to blame Windows. I am going to blame Avast. I paid (twice now) for Avast to prevent this because it used to seem to be the best. Now its as average as any of the others.Sorry but files that should be local (on my HDD) coming up with an error saying something about the file referring to a remote location just becuase Im physically disconnected from the internet says it all. Persaonlly, things got like this about the same time they started having flash calls. Does that mean Im saying thats responsible...
NO. But it does make the point of where to begin.
Hi UserA789,
Let me think, if you have landed there via this address, see: htxp://www.capacityproductions.net/datpiff.html then this site has real bad web rep. Fakes and scam accounts, facebook and social website trouble. Buying into facebook and twitter followers is getting you in trouble, there is no such thing as a free ride. Always comes with a prize to pay, your privacy, your profile etc. Sometimes added malcode. That is why I shun social websites. Don't let them deceive ye,
polonus
No... I physically typed into the address bar '
www.datpiff.com' and it went to (via the showing address bar "
http://www.datpiff.com"; as you can see the screenshot. I appreciate you trying to go over all the possibilities, but why cant I use
www.virustotal.com ? I can go to the site, but having it check a file is impossible, having it check a url is impossible.
Now, why would anyone want me to not be able to use a separate security solution website? Hmm, maybe becuase its a differnet locale to check for exploitation
. Ya know, kinda like the old 'You have so many virus' on your computer. Click here to fix' and even when you dont 'click here' you get boned (now heres the relevant part of the comparison) and even if you can manage to get to a security solution providers website after that, getting anything to work on it is a joke.
Now before anyone asks why I would make ANY of these comments; I ask, rhetorically, do you even read what we write... do you check that we have multiple threads with different problems... or do you just get on here to type something. Again, all rhetorical at this point.
i, among others, was one of the first people to try Avast with its new firewall technology. My happiness at it working with Windows Firewall on because some of us knew the Windows Firewall controlled more than just FW actions, was off the charts!!! When the sandbox feature was implemented I got even more excited (even though I had already been experiencing an Avast that was NOT as secure as before)! However, current experience, and interactions on the support forum have left me feeling pretty crappy, as far as the solution I chose to invest in to protect my e-life, as well as my other family. I feel like a wad for promting Avast to so many of my friends (I still got a few-OORAH!) and subsequently they intorducing it to the organizations they have recommended it to after my intial reviews to them.
I know, I can always start using something else... with the current treatment of certain people on this forum for simply bringing REAL problems and exploits thats a garunteed thing as soon as I can afford another choice... but this is the one I paid for a year of "peace of mind protection" that USED to be the leader. Now, its more of just a high school popularity contest on the forums and thats why I left Facebook. If you arent one of those folks that have chastised me, and others, then this shouldnt upset you but inspire you to research some of our comments with an open mind.
If Avast wants to refund me to get rid of me, then YAY!!!! Then I will go away to never be heard from on this forum again. Until then, this (along with a broken support ticket system unless you speak their native language and a phone option we cant even talk about now) is where I need to come for support. Maybe Avast needs to hire one of the many fullfilment centers in my area to bring back phone support. With all thats going on there is no way to say Im not infected. Well, you can say it til the cows come home but that doesnt mean Im not ENTIRELY.
What logs should I
pretend I can uplaod? Where do I upload the
pretend logs to?
...and Im sure I have mispellings but dont care today.
Mods... please excuse some of this venting in this. Iv tried to keep it on tpoic but this whole thing is beyond a joke.
