Some problems...
« on: May 28, 2012, 04:20:40 PM »
I have dual monitors and was watching a show and all of a sudden both monitors went off, no signal. Some sounds from the show were coming out from the speakers but they were slow and muffled (freaky stuff lol), couldn't make out what it was saying. Anyway, screens wouldn't come back, so I force shutdown. When it started back up, my avast wasn't active, it seemed to have been disabled. I enabled it, started a scan. Then it said a program was trying to access or disable avast, should I allow it to? I selected no, and thought I should perform a system restore first.

After the restore it said restore was unsuccessful, however the restore was listed as a restore point so I think it may have worked. I've started a scan just now.

Any ideas what it could be?

Not from the information provided... ;)

Anyway, try this...

Repair avast!:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> avast!
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.
