Silent Quick Scan on Boot
« on: July 25, 2012, 04:09:58 PM »
Hello everyone.

I've just moved from Avast! 4.8 Professional to Avast! Business Pro 7.

I am seeing the "Quick Scan" that runs when workstations boot display a window with a progress bar and other information, at least on Win XP machines (I haven't seen it on a Win 7 machine yet).

I have used the Administration Console to set these scans to take action automatically if they find something. However,
I would like these scans to be silent (that is, display nothing onscreen) unless they detect something. I don't want dozens of computer-illiterate users contacting me to tell me they have a "virus" just because that window pops up when they start their computer.

I can't find a setting in the Administration Console to do this.

Is there an "Expert" setting to cause the boot-up Quick Scan to run silently unless it detects something?
