I use Avast (free) version 7.0.1426.0
Everything had been fine until about a week ago (great signal strength and speed everyday since last September's installation) and the download speed from my high speed internet connection (40mbps+) on wireless to my laptop went to less than 20.
Have checked it out with internet supplier and the incoming signal is fine and when I hard wire laptop to the modem the signal runs 38 +/- which is more than 80% of the 40 mbps which is (fine) what it had been since installation in September of last year.
Same puter, same everything, updated automatically daily, scanned daily by Avast ( I also run Superantispyware alongside on a manual basis for malware and scan at least once per week.
Internet company sent out another modem and it does the same thing.
