Windows 8 and Avast
« on: June 09, 2012, 04:46:15 AM »
I just downloaded and installed Windows 8 release preview.   Windows Defender has  malware and antivirus. I still have Avast installed. Will running these two antivirus programs at the same time be a conflict? Do I need to run both?

Never use 2 antivirus programs at the same time! Deactivate Windows Defender realtime protection.

Win10 x64, APS (always latest version)
Avast Mobile Security (always latest version)

Windows Defender is NOT a full antivirus and it is fully compatible with avast!

avast installation (avast Internet Security edition) disabled Windows Defender on my PC. It is my experience.

Good, as it's the way it should work. :)
