Well, just cross your fingers, and toes too  ;D nothing is wrong.

Place to check your FP. You will see the red FP cube bouncing and a little down to your right the version installed.

Adobe Flash protected mode and Firefox 13 (and probably older versions) has problems on Windows Vista and above.  Flash protected mode is not available on WinXP at all.  There are rumors of a Firefox 13.0.1 chemspill release to fix some problem, but information is scant at this time.

In the links above are the answers to a lot of Flash questions.  32 and 64 bit installers as well as uninstallers have been combined.  FWIW, I'm having no problems with WinXP Pro SP3 32bit, Firefox 13 and Adobe Flash Player v.11.3.300.257.

Thanks for the additional information, definitely accounts for the increased file size.

With multi-gigabyte storage drives, stuff below 50MB is a spit in an ocean...

I don't believe it has anything to do with how much space it takes up on the hard disk, but the hassle downloading the larger files on dial-up.

Ok, you are on dial-up, but lets be realistic shall we. It's 2012, those still on dial-up are in large minority, so you can't expect anyone to still base their operations and products on those few that are unfortunate enough to still be on dialup. If we'd be looking on everyone this unfortunate, we'd still be using steam machines and computers with vacuum tubes...

I'm not on dial-up, but the OP is and I believe that was his point.
